Project I: A home for the elderly (Wazee-home)In Moshi in the Kilimanjaro District many elderly people live on the streets.The Aids epidemic has swept away the social network for these elderly, which forced them to live a homeless life.WaWaf Foundation is establishing a ‘live-and-work’ project for them. Therefore, ever since June 2009, the foundation has rented a house in Moshi that is to provide a new home for these elderly.The residents can provide their own income by setting up a kitchen garden and small-scale workshops. They are given the necessary care, so they can spend the last years of their lives in a dignified manner.
